The Universal Language
There are Mormons in the subway here! I'm not making fun of Mormons - I respect their dedication to what they do. But it struck me as hilarious to see them on a subway train in Singapore, in their white shirts and ties looking exactly like you see them at home (though these guys weren't Americans, judging by the accents).
Ankur says he could walk from one end of this city to the other without ever leaving a shopping mall, and I think he's right. Orchard Road takes it beyond the extreme, though. I thought it was bad that every mall had a Starbucks - even when they're right next door to each other. That didn't seem so bad, though, when I went into one mall and saw a Burberry store on the fourth floor, then went down to the second floor and saw another Burberry store. I've decided they shop too much here.

This Singapore sounds like my kinda place! And...can you hop back in that Burberry store and replace my wallet that the mean thieves stole!
